We haven't even attempted to build nuclear since the 1980s. Instead, we're closing the old plants down and replacing them with... more fossil fuels. Indian Point is now close, reducing NYC's electric capacity by about 13%, with no plan to replace it other than more gas turbines which are estimated to have the environmental impact of another million cars on the road. Remember a month ago when they asked us to reduce power use during high temperatures? We're on the same path as California at this rate, and they have far better solar generation capacity than we do.

City installing faster charging ports for electric vehicles in municipal parking garages.

The New York City Department of Transportation on Wednesday unveiled new fast chargers for electric vehicles. The message: this is the future.

“All you do is, take the charger out, plug it into your car, you select your payment method — either RFID or credit card reader. Credit card, tap your card,” Jonathan Rosen, a senior project manager with EV Connect, said, demonstrating the payment method system.

The New York City Department of Transportation has unveiled fast-charging ports for electric vehicles placed in municipal parking garages

The goal is to have over 80 plugs citywide by 2025

City officials hope to build 6,000 fast-charging ports and 40,000 slower stations by 2030

They can have this done in a year. Meanwhile, it'll officially take them until 2030 which really means at least 2040.

This city is run by corrupt racial grifters.
