your analysis is flawed & wrong. had the doormen interjected, the ol lady wouldn't got the sh** beat out of her. it would've looked like there was actually some sorta humanity in the world. they wouldn't have lost their jobs. had that been ya mama, you woulda been outraged and wondered why nobody did anything. not only that, you still didn't make sense because the doormen who were fired are black
They still would have been fired. Brobosky would have used the same exact verbiage in their statement.
Business standpoint they are not supposed to intervene
Moral standpoint they should have
Case closed. Truth is the truth.
The moral high ground only goes so far when you are laying in a pool of your own blood after being stabbed to death by some crazy bastard. That lady didn't deserve the beating, the doormen didn't deserve to be fired. The people as a whole didn't deserve to be subjected to a parolee who had no business being let out in the first place. The bleeding hearts on the parole board need to be held accountable and fired.
Im not understanding the firing. They actually train us retail workers to close the doors when something like this happens. Maybe they thought they were next after the woman. Also, growing up I saw a lot of people ignore bullying ...if they ignore this, then I could imagine what else they either ignore/don't step in on. Either way, we also have to be aware of the laws in this country and how sometimes doing good can get u into trouble.
"I'm so sick of hearing that every time a person of color is racist, it's because they're mentally ill."
Except this guy CLEARLY was (unless you think he killed his mom in front of his little sister because he was racist?). I read an article that said a high percentage of people picked up in this particular hate-crime wave have had serious mental health problems. These people are very vulnerable to a poisoned atmosphere.
All of this suffering could probably have been avoided if the guy had had decent care, but it's just so much easier to blame him for being sick (and hyperfixate on his race as if that "proves" anything about hate crimes). Spend the money up front, don't have to pay to keep him in prison indefinitely and don't have to help this poor woman over her awful trauma.
trump didn't do crap on crime. Also, most of this is deblasio's fault.
THose shootings happened since stuff was opening up. Everyone was on lockdown before.
amtrak joe at least put out an infrastructure plan.
I waited for beautiful infrastructure from DJT.
Those doormen could have made the situation worse. THe man had a knife and was a hardened criminal. The doormen did not have guns and you can't have concealed carry in NYC. Also, they could have been sued by the criminal and cancel culture would have burned down their houses.
oh f-----n stop making excuses for the doormen
this see no evil, hear no evil bs is why tragic things like this wind up in the news
”this see no evil, hear no evil bs is why tragic things like this wind up in the news”
Lately, people seem to get mad at the very suggestion that they have any responsibility of any kind towards their fellow human-beings. It's sad, really. Can't have a society like this.
