Bars and restaurants can stay open til midnight now, but bar seating is still not allowed and they're still technically supposed to serve food.

How do you think the restrictions will be eased? Will the curfew be lifted by next month?

I think the last thing to go will be the mask mandate, in the fall.

I attended a lovely Staten Island nightclub/restaurant establishment on Saturday that was packed with people dancing, drinking, eating and having...FUN!!!!

No masks, no nothing. Older crowd about 40+. Cleared out around 11:30p. I noticed a NYPD sergeant showed up around then but seemed to be "on the take" or just looking the other way as people went home.

On a side note, Vegas is wide open. Packed.

I agree the mask mandate and social distancing will be the last to go and those will be both take a while (before that happens).

The real question is when will the Federal Government determine that the COVID19 pandemic is officially over.

There's no reason, with vaccines so widely available now, that people shouldn't have a choice to begin living again. Haven't gotten a vaccine yet or just don't feel comfortable? Fine, stay home. Nobody will fault you or think any less. Wanna go out and live life because you got the vaccine? That should, at this point, be a personal choice to make.

Donald Trump and his moron cronies got it wrong during the pandemic, but Cuomo is being just as wrong now by arbitrarily defining rules like he is that aren't based in reality.

What's the point of asking something so unknowable?

Trump was only as good as his CDC, which was awful. And who lead that group? Fauci and Birx. No one in the federal gov't could have stopped the spread of covid. Why? It came into Queens into the Flushing area directly from Wuhan during the build up to the Lunar Year parades in Flushing and Manhattan and Sunset Park. Bingo, game over. The dog was on the loose. No mask, no social distancing, not even a vaccine at the time would have stopped the wild fire. Again, there is a reason out of all the places ON THE PLANET IT WAS QUEENS, NYC GROUND ZERO.

Trump had nothing to do with it!

I predict NYC will be the very last place in the country to fully reopen, likely 6 months after the rest of the country has moved on.
