I bet none of them know Kings and Queens means King/Queen of England. Or that that the "York" in New York is a town in England.

Modern day "minorities" crack me up here in NYC. I can't speak for other states. But here not only are they racist and bigots, as well as dangerous, they show exactly how the public school system has failed them and instead their hip hop education has filled the gap.

Hilarious, but sad.

If you live in NYC, you do know the libraries are open now, right? You really should walk in, apply for a card, head to the history section and READ. The Europeans? You mean the same Europeans who wiped out my native people? The same Europeans who killed millions of Africans during the Atlantic Slave Trade, treated Blacks less than animals through slave-trading and beatings, all the while the Africans built the country? Once you understand history and you fast forward to events like systemic discrimination of redlining, redistricting, and police brutality (George Floyd), you begin to understand why black people are pissed if you have a conscious. You can't beat people down for centuries and expect him to just "shut up and dribble".

BLM is wrong for screaming at people. Not every person in every organization is going to be as civil as we would like for them to be. But hell, MLK was as civil as they come and he was assassinated.

I'm all for your free speech...but not stupid speech.

PS - NYC was first and foremost a Dutch settlement not an English one. Ever heard of New Amsterdam? This is why you need to spend time in a library. No shade.

Your people got conquered. That’s how things work when you get conquered. Your people should have been more advanced than Europeans and then maybe you wouldn’t have been wiped out. In truth, your people weren’t wiped out. You are still around. Many Hispanics are actually Native Americans and in the future, the U.S. will be Hispanic majority so in a way, you can say Native Americans will take back the U.S.

Oh and leave the smugness with the library BS out of conversations. You are not some expert historian either.

That is rather short sighted. Chase small business' away that don't match you race preference.. pretty sad.

Poor people have poor ways!
Most of these changes are taking place because we have a Mayor that is racially divided toward ONLY ONE PARTICULAR GROUP.......that he wants to CONTROL the country, and no other group matters.......it is so blatantly exposed......to the extent that he has the younger generation completely BRAINWASHED......and these small owners are usually extremely hard-working people that came here to make their lives much better than they were in their country.

We need to LEARN how to VOTE......

We need to start defining certain types of street action as harassment and/or obstruction of commerce and travel, and come down on hard people performing such acts without prior issued permits. The First Amendment doesn't mean you can do anything you want to whoever you want wherever you want, no allowing other people to use the space for it's normal purpose.

Yeah, no white person did any work, ever. No farmers, no fishermen, no cowboys, no lumberjacks, no miners; everyone had a slave and sat around all day watching them work. So tired of this BS line.

Here the owner of Maya Taqueria Daniel Nassar although the protesters said there are two owners.
The restaurant has been in Prospect Heights for 11 years. There is another one in Park Slope.
Nassar is an Arabic name but also found as a surname of Christian families in Lebanon and Palestine as well as a famous actor's name in India.
He looks half Arab half Mexican perhaps to me although his first name is not Hispanic.
My guess is that he is not part Hispanic otherwise that would be clearly known, I could be wrong.
He speaks perfect English and with no accent.

Prospect Heights

Based on data from the 2010 United States Census, the racial makeup of the neighborhood was
47.2% (9,359) White,
30.1% (5,979) African American,
6.6% (1,316) Asian
Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.5% (2,275)
3.9% (768) from two or more races.
0.2% (34) Native American,
0.1% (12) Pacific Islander, 0.5%

A diverse ethnic neighborhood in the 1910s through the 1960s, combining Italian, Irish, Jewish, German and Greek residents, Prospect Heights is currently well known for its mixed black and white culture. Every year the West Indian Day Parade, the largest annual parade in New York City, follows Eastern Parkway, beginning in Crown Heights and ending at Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Heights. During the last thirty years, the neighborhood has seen an influx of new residents, increasingly young and white,[19] perhaps due to real estate prices slightly lower than neighboring Park Slope. A thriving commercial zone has emerged along Vanderbilt Avenue and Washington Avenue, which since 2000 has seen a surge in new bars, restaurants, and specialty shops, including New York's first steampunk bar, boutique wine shops, a restaurant opened by Michelin-starred chef Saul Bolton, and stores emphasizing gourmet/artisanal mayonnaise and ice cream.

Residents have included:

Joe Pepitone NY Yankees player lived on St. Mark’s Avenue between Vanderbilt and Washington
Joan Rivers, comedian
Mark Rudd, leader in the 1960s' Weather Underground, and Columbia University's 1968 protests. When he lived "underground" in the early 1970s, it was in one of the large apartment buildings on Plaza Street.
Bobby Fischer Chess grandmaster lived on Lincoln Place near Underhill

https://researchnychistory.wordpress...brief-history/

The majority of houses in Prospect Heights were constructed after Prospect Park was opened to the public. Residents of mostly Jewish, Italian, and Irish descent moved into the neighborhood. It was a middle class area, with most residents working in near-by factories and as shop owners. The neighborhood continued to flourish at the beginning of the 20th Century, with Ebbets Field, home to the Brooklyn Dodgers, being built in 1913.

The second half of the 20th century was a difficult time for Prospect Heights. After the end of WWII, many long-time residents moved out of the neighborhood. They were replaced by new, primarily African-American residents. The neighborhood experienced troubles such as houses being abandoned and foreclosed and rioting on Washington Avenue. However, in the 1980s, government incentives were offered to refurbish the neighborhood and helped to inspire new interest and subsequent development. This decade saw over one third of buildings in Prospect Heights renovated.
The’90’s and the first decade of the 21st Century have been a time of great change for Prospect Heights as it has become a more desirable place to live. This change can be seen in the neighborhood’s real estate market.
______________________

Between 2000 and 2010, Crown Heights and the two neighborhoods to its south and east, Flatbush and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens — all areas with large West Indian immigrant populations — each lost up to 14 percent of their Black populations, according to an analysis of the 2010 census released by the Department of City Planning, The New York Times reported.

Christian Arabs are common in Lebanon and Syria (and Bay Ridge.)

Native Americans were running around killing each other long before the white man came. What's your point? Plenty of tribes did businesses with the Europeans. Some even sold captured members of other tribes as slaves or used the Europeans as aide in conflicts with other tribes.

If North America was left to the natives, would the world be better or worse off today? They'd still be running around half naked smoking peyote.

Save us your "we wuz kangz" speech for the black labor who built Haarlem. Your native people want nothing to do with you because you're nothing but an excuse. Zero accountability. Your native people sold you for pennies on the dollar. Hows it feel to live your life blaming anyone and everyone but yourself?
