I didn't grow up in the US, so had to look that one up :-). No, Roomba does not look like Rosie or like a person in general. It is just a disc that vacuums by itself, and after it learns where everything is in the house, it can do the vacuuming very fast. A lot of seniors like it because it requires no human effort, no supervision except initial few times, no privacy concerns with letting a stranger into the home, and cleans the house for many years at the cost of two hours of a live housecleaner.

Yeah, Roomba is a novelty. I want a Rosie. Why don't you think I know what a Roomba is?

Because you seem to think housecleaners are essential and irreplaceable :-).

It’s a historical fact that jobs are cut when the rich are taxed that high. It’s what happened in France (remember the yellow vest protests?), Venezuela, the Ukraine and in other countries. The rich simply leave where they can maintain their lifestyles and let the middle class pick up the tax. (They’re being taxed after all, because the country needs to pay the federal reserve banks back and this money has to come from somewhere).

I really don’t understand how people on here and in general can think that the rich will simply take it up the arse without actually sitting down and asking themselves how to avoid the situation. Same thing with Biden raising minimum wage to 15 an hour. You know very well that business owners are not going to have their profits cut just so that some kid can make more. So all they’ll have to do (which is very easy) is layoff two or three people per person in order to compensate for the losses. Also, self-order kiosks will be a great alternative to avoid a human capital hike.

No, I'd just rather have Rosie than a Roomba.

the top personal income tax rate in 1941 was 13.7% in Germany.
The Nazis allowed industries to deduct from their taxable income all sums used to purchase new equipment. Rich families employing a maid were allowed to count the maid as a dependent child and reap the tax benefit.

How did the maid hiring process go about?

Tax code, welfare, social stigma, feminism, family courts. If you're a man that gets married today theres not much to say besides the fact that you're an idiot and you deserve everything that comes your way.
