Yesterday I walked home along Riverside Drive and Park. The weather was gorgeous and lots of people were walking around maskless enjoying the beautiful weather. I forgot how good it felt to actually see people's faces after more than a year!
Never wore a mask outside since the beginning of this other than putting one on right before entering a place of business.
Ditto, I only wear my mask in places of business or on public transportation. Only time I will put up my mask outside is if I have to walk through a crowd. It is not necessary to wear it outdoors.

I'm gonna keep wearing a mask on the subway because people are nasty. Helps with the horrible smells and from the no manor disgusting people coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths.
The outdoor masks have helped my allergies immensely and when it's cold out they're very warming for the face. I intend to keep wearing them in the winter/high pollen days and on planes (I always get sick from the recycled air).

Yeah, it really is disgusting to think that we breathed all that nasty, underground air before. While I'm going to shed my mask as much as possible going forward, putting it on when riding the subway will be something I'll hold onto.
