I was thinking about this over the weekend as I made my way down to Midwood for the first time and tried DiFara's. It was an excellent slice, even though it was $5.
Previously I have been a big fan of Denino's (Staten Island location).
I know about John's of Bleecker St being high up on the list too.
But what do you all think? What's your go to spot for a slice in the city?
Pizza Palace on Dyckman street right by the #1 train. They’ve been at that location since 1945 and still serve huge slices unlike many more modern pizzerias.
Take a look at those gorgeous slices - click on the pictures:
My favorite slice has to be from Di Fara's. I had my pie made by Mr. DeMarcos' himself and it was heavenly. It's been a while since I've been there though, and I'm not sure if I would wait 2 hours again.
Joe's was always a little overrated to me, though some people swear by it.
I'm partial to a few of the Queen's places I frequent. Napoli near Pomonok has my favorite buffalo slice.
Honorable mention for a fancy, restaurant slice would be Vezzo's shroomtown.
lol. JK. I enjoy most solid NYC slices. The .99 cent slices are trash, though. ok, if you are drunk. Ben's has always been solid.
When I was in the hotels I used to get asked for Pizza hut or Sbarros by some tourists and would steer them away. Johns Times Square was great for a sit down pizza place, or Joes in the village.

Disgusting... I thought Sbarros was out of business now? Low quality garbage... Pizza Hut too...
New park In Howard Beach. Everything else is just designer underwear.
NP is hugely popular among the JFK lunch crowd. Gino’s across the street was also pretty good.
