NYC cop culture never seems to change.

I'm no fan of cops but I don't get where all the hate comes from?
Is it because they make good money, can retire after ~20-22 years, and get some perks?

If cops made $15/hr with ****ty benefits, I don't think we'd see nearly as much "outrage".

Them expecting accountability isn't hate. I expect the same and where I'm from, I've seen those wages for cops. I have done posts advocating for them. It's not so black and whitw.

Oh, and they live on Long Island? Golly what a surprise.
The general narrative is that there are only a few bad ones. Yeah, right!

Accountability for what percentage of incidents? 0.1%? 1%? 10%? 50%?

What percentage are bad? A third? Half? A quarter?

Lol isn't there suppose to be accountability all the time? I made a mistake at work the other day and will probably get written up for it. Do you think there is a 1 per cent 5 per cent chance of me being held accountable? No! They will 100 per cent punish me in some way. Maybe a verbal who knows.

what did you do?

What I have learned at work is that two people at work get really mad at each other as soon as somebody uses a NY favorite curse word like the "A" word
you lose. I leaned the hard way

What I meant was what percentage of incidents go wrong that require accountability? Out of all the interactions between police and residents.on a daily basis, how many go wrong? 1/10? 1/100? 1/1,000? 1/10,000?

Every "mistake" is also not the same. A cop being rude isn't the same as a cop assaulting someone.

If your job is writing you up for nonesense reasons all I can say is try to find a better one.

The NYPD is the king of writing up cops for minor reasons. They are called command disciplines and they spew out of captain's offices like a leaking fire hydrant.

...another example of cop haters speaking authoritatively on that of which they do not know.
