Well, I mean I wouldn't issue a blanket statement and call millions of people morons.

There was a lot of uncertainty and many mixed messages coming from many sources. Especially with Trump in the office of the President--he made things more confusing and worse for many people just trying to comply and take direction to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Thankfully there is now a vaccine and we are able to get this thing slowly behind us all.

Government Mandates: Masks must be on if Traveling ( Flying, Public Transportation such as Bus and Subway. )
City/State Mandates: New York........Vaccinated Mask wearing lifted. Not vaccinated must wear masks.

Private Sectors: Up to the establishment.
If no masks required .Great!
If masks are required in place of business
refusal to wear a mask can end up in a
Warning First followed by $1,000 fine
if refused.

Correct me if wrong...............
