Doak Campbell Stadium holds near to 80,000 people. How many were there that day I dont know but in the tens of thousands
No doubt some of those people died of various causes since then, car accidents, deaths due to the average COVID death rate, heart attacks, etc
It's rumored people die regularly
It would be reasonable to assume that some of those tens of thousands of people who died or who are in the process of dying are in excess of the
avenge death rates in Tallahassee because they were siting there for hours yelling and cheering there with no masks on
and some of those people are projecting virus particles to a much greater extent then the audience of a classical music concert
Yes you would be right that I don't have the data to prove it but neither do you to make the unreasonable assumption that nobody died due to it
And it would also be unreasonable to assume that no excessive hospitalizations were caused by that event or people calling in sick to work which adds up to millions of dollars.
So suppose 20 people at that stadium have since died. Three people died in a car accidents. Four died of heart attacks. Some people died of COVID due to the regular rates for the city.
And perhaps more died or are in the process of dying form COVOD in excess of that perhaps a few
So do you think the family of a person who died from COVID is going to run to the news and say that they believed their family member died to being at that game when that would be nearly impossible to prove?
At best we might only be able to determine a statistical difference.
So we have this virus variant now which is twice as contagious as the previous once and now dominates all other strains and you think it's intelligent to go to a crowded sporting event without a mask and sit there for hours with people yelling the whole time ?
So you are mad at somebody simply raising the idea that being there is a little risky ?
Of course we are at a low case rate now in NYC and most people don't go to sporting events that much and some people might think its worth it
but what about going to a crowded bar a couple of times a week (or similar situation) when we are into November and cases are up and you going to do that week after week?
