So I won’t say where I’m at, but I’ve been routinely moving my car during streetsweeping times and I’ll move back after said time is over. So I move before 930 and come back at 11. Sometimes I can get a spot when I come right back to that street and sometimes I cannot. The issue is this… I’ve been doing this so much and people on the same street will just leave their cars sitting there nothing happens to them and there’s no police or ticket issuers to come by.. I literally decided today I’m going to leave my car in the spot HOWEVER I will sit in my car for the hour in half. The street sweeper passed by 935 . Only one car has moved and the parking spot was taken instantly. It’s now 9:51 wth is this bs? No wonder it’s so hard to find spots. Same thing on the other side of the street nobody moves and nobody gets tickets. I guess I’ll just have to join them in this game
Not sure how this is relevant. I made a post about how people just don’t move their cars and I’m wondering if I should just do the same because cops aren’t giving tickets. Today I tried it and I didn’t get a ticket. It’s more of a post for do the cops just not give a **** anymore?
There are not enough ticketing agents to ticket every car that doesn't move for alternate side. Some neighborhoods (the wealthier ones) get ticketed all the time. OP, what neighborhood are you parked in?
The parking enforcement officers are definitely in my family's neighborhood in Brooklyn, though they don't ticket vehicles being repaired by auto shops in the area, which I think they should. I definitely do not chance not moving if I'm in the area visiting.
