It’s more that the democratic states that have the people wearing mask. Look at the Republican states they haven’t wore mask since the pandemic started. I rather live in Staten Island or Long Island then a liberal mask controlling borough.
Just keep a mask handy. If someone want you to put a mask on, then do it. Or else you don’t need to. This is under the assumption that you are vaccinated. If you are not, I wish you good luck on not catching that virus.
I went to the local bodega yesterday for ice cream, the man said, "hey buddy, please don't forget your mask the next time".
I made believe that I was going to pull it up and it wasn't there, I said, OK, no probz.
I know him for a lot of years, so I wasn't making a big deal of it.
It still isn't fully implicated a no mask rule. Some want it worn, some don't.
We still have them here in the office for show, at my desk, it is off, as most of us are vaccinated, when I go to someone else's room, I put it on, for show only. I think I have the same mask now for three days.

It really should be an all or none, the is it, or is isn't it, is annoying, to say the least, but, I am thinking you have to always carry one in your pocket to be safe.
Went into Lowes in Garden City with no mask this time.
Right away I noticed most of the people not wearing masks as well. Felt great.
Few geezers were wearing it, few employees.
From now, Ill walk in without a masks everywhere unless someone says something. Ive been keeping masks off my kids for many months now and no one has ever said a thing.

Okay, but I don't think there's anything commendable about insulting cautious older people, or about imagining that your "freedom" is simply a matter of something you can put on or take off.
It would be nice walking into a store without a mask but 99% of shoppers wear one and not all stores are completely clear on whether they still mandate it or not. So to prevent any problems from either the store employees or to avoid any angry looks from other customers, I’ll probably keep it on for a while.
