Stringer has, for a long time, struck me as a good guy, a conscious public servant. I think he would have made a better mayor than DeBlasio.
And it's sad that he's now dogged by sex scandals which may not be valid, and seem irrelevant. And with the second person, this was a minor incident 30 years ago, when our standards were different! Oh, and in the version I read, the women even admitted that she began by encouraging him. Really sad.
Some might call it Karma. Stringer jumped on the Kavanaugh trashing bandwagon in 2018. Three years later, the concept of guilty until proven innocent has come home to roost.
Just another political hack that came up through democrat party machine. He thought would be a cake walk because he's been around so long with such name recognition. But ranked choice voting this year has produced a very crowded field. Stringer just can't get any traction.
He should have taken a page from Christine Quinn and dropped out or something. Stringer won't be getting anywhere near enough votes to qualify...
A fact often lost on leftists is that Kavanaugh was vetted previously AND confirmed for his previous federal judgeship. These people are sick. The liar they convinced to stand for them has some balls. I lost a lot of respect for the Republican party after that debacle. They should have absolutely crushed all resistance at that point. We know the score now. We have to act accordingly.
