Alvin Bragg, Tali Farhadian Weinstein

https://www.cityandstateny.com/artic...n-results.html

Thus far, preliminary results indicate that Alvin Bragg, former state chief
deputy attorney general, is in the lead, with Tali Farhadian Weinstein,
former counsel to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, trailing close behind.

The winner of the race will likely inherit a high-profile ongoing
investigation into former President Donald Trump’s finances after the
general election in November. Candidates have clashed over criminal justice reforms,
such as how they plan to provide police oversight and tackle drug charges.

Official election results won’t be finalized for a few weeks,
but voters’ first-choice selections should start to be released after polls close tonight.

Alvin Bragg: 33.84%

Tali Farhadian Weinstein: 30.42%

Tahanie Aboushi: 11.31%

Lucy Lang: 7.59%

Diana Florence: 5.26%

Liz Crotty: 4.42%

Eliza Orlins: 4.41%

Dan Quart: 2.62%

Why is the job of DA even a political matter or up for election? They should be non-partisan and appointed via a civil service exam. I never understood this aspect of US politics.

Curtis Sliwa is a 7 to 1 underdog.

7 Democrats for every 1 Republican.

If you are as worried about crime as most folks it makes only sense to vote for the man that
helped people feel safe back when the city was losing control. Curtis Sliwa for Mayor.....................
