Here is my take on this. With this map we can see nyc class and racial/ethnic backgrounds and see who voted for who. In Manhattan your reasonable whites as well as in Staten Island and Riverdale in the Bronx preferred Garcia for Democrat candidate for mayor. While in places like in areas that are progressive/woke like east village and Alphabet City, theater district, and areas that straddle along Astoria Queens down to Dumbo Brooklyn. These areas are mostly white liberals who lean woke and progressive and these folks preferred Maya Wiley for nomination. Areas in Bronx and Brooklyn, Harlem near plenty of NYCHA projects as well as high crime areas with plenty of blacks and Hispanics picked support for Eric Adams. It also looks like Eric Adams also picked up support from the Hassadic Jewish Community. As for Andrew Yang. It looks like he got support from working class progressives which are different than woke progressives who are more focused on class vs social identity(race, gender, sex etc.) Yang did pick up suupport from Chinese in NYC, working class whites, and working class Hispanics. From this map graph. It shows NYC is deeply divided. It also looks like the whole race and woke stuff is high amongst the uber wannabe elite in gentry areas.

Interesting take on this. There's such a thing as "working class progressives"?
Not throwing shade. I wasn't aware of this particular distinction amongst the umbrella term "progressives".
Yours did better than mine. My polling site had a paltry 14 votes with each candidate (including paperboy prince) getting at least one vote, all except for two. And mine went for Wiley!
My mom's polling site did a bit better with 88 votes and went for Yang but Adams and Garcia pulled in decent votes too.
All in all, the turnout was quite low. Let's see if the absentee votes changes things.
