Looks like Garcia was a lot of voters’ second choice, and after the absentee vote she could be our first woman mayor. The difference between the two is about 16.000 votes and several times that many votes are still out. Maybe someone else will end up as winner, but for now it’s a battle between an old-school pol and a technocrat.

Maya Wiley is still within striking distance too, if she overcomes Garcia by about 4,000 votes.

But the Board of Elections just released a statement saying there are discrepancies in their reporting today, so who knows where this will wind up.

Hopefully not in Adams favor, for me anyway.

From the article:
“We are aware there is a discrepancy in the unofficial RCV [ranked-choice voting] round by round elimination report. We are working with our RCV technical staff to identify where the discrepancy occurred."

In Reality:
"We are seeing how we can steal this election towards Maya Wiley our progressive dream"

BOE has already deemed Wiley as being eliminated. I think it’s over for her, unless being eliminated doesn’t mean actually being eliminated.

In the unofficial results for the final round of ranked-choice voting, former counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio Maya Wiley slipped to third place, while former Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia moved into second place.

If Garcia wins was it stolen?

Garcia was a 2nd choice as well as all those moderate white liberals who fled nyc during the Pandemic who voted outside the city. This is really a 3 person race. If it is two. Than it's a show down between Adams and Garcia.

They projected her eliminated based on in person voting only, not accounting for absentee, and now their in person tallying is wrong too.
