NYC have beat LA for worst traffic in country.

Do NYC metro area residents seen worst traffic than 2010-2019 ?

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute study had ranked the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim region as the area with the country's worst traffic since 1982. But the institute's 2021 Urban Mobility Report showed the New York-Newark region now has the worst traffic in the nation.

The rankings are based on the total amount of hours drivers were delayed. The New York-Newark region spent 494,268 hours stuck in traffic last year, while the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim had 365,543 hours of time in traffic.

New York-Newark also placed first for average amount of hours a driver spent in traffic last year with 56 hours. The top five areas and hours were:

New York-Newark , 56

Boston, 50

Houston, 49

Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, 46

San Francisco-Oakland, 46

It's definitely true, I've been across the country. The worst thing about NYC now, is not the bad roads or traffic lights. It's the bad drivers and entitledness.

On any highway, it doesn't matter how empty it is. You got mofos doing 40mph in the middle lane and often on the left lane on the GCP and LIE through queens is often like a parking lot even in the middle of the night.

BQE is ridiculous, there are huge pockets of emptiness because you got rows of retarded people doing 35mph while people behind can't change lanes or pull out of slow mofos.

That's why it's probably better to be on scooters and bikes. Atleast bikers are going full speed while cars on the roads are doing 15mph cause they're too dumb to look at Waze and know where the speed cameras are.

You can spot yellow plate NYers in NJ highways doing 50 while everybody is doing 75mph. I don't know how the get their license but the law is drive on the right lane and pass on the left lane. It seems only NYers love to drive on the left lane doing 1/2 the speed of everybody else in other states especially NJ, CT, and PA.

The other retardedness is every NY mofo is crowding the cash lanes when there are no more cash lanes in many bridges and tunnels. It doesn't matter you have ezpass or not anymore, you'll get a mailed in bill. Yet I see tons of retards crowding the cash lanes even though there isn't anymore.

I'm sure DeBlasio is very proud of this.

"We did it guys. We beat LA".

All part of the plan to eliminate private ownership of vehicles for poor and middle class. Make it too much of a burden to drive. Order your Uber ride or get on a bicycle

Correct, it's a feature not a bug.

Nobody is riding a bike from LI or Central/Eastern Queens to Manhattan.

I've been gone five years and have a question, is there still construction going on, on the Gowanus and BQE? I began my daily commutes in 1989 on those roadways and there were cones, jersey barriers, and pot hole crews there everyday. I imagine, that by now, those roadways must be in tip top shape. It must be a pleasure of a commute now. So jealous!

Millions of people need to be controlled.

How?

Slowing ,Stopping Reducing the flow of people back and forth.

25 mph speed limit, bike lanes, dedicating more concrete for feet than tires.

Containment.............containers one neighborhood at a time.
