You're likely gonna regret that decision soon but I recommend buying a bumper bully whenever you get the chance. I had one when I lived in Glendale and I know my back bumper would of been messed up without it.

sure it can. not everyone lives in Manhattan. half the things you mentioned are true of any car anywhere and you don't have to move the car every day in most places.
now there are definitely certain neighborhoods I would never own a car in.

As long as you have off-street parking, owning a car is not an issue
Anything else comes down to you being able to afford the expenses that comes with owning a vehicle
