Yep. Just as the title reads. Stopped off to get tacos at my fav truck stand on Greenpoint ave, 47st in Sunnyside, Queens around 1:30am Friday night coming back from a night in empty Manhattan. Though the nightlife in Sunnyside has taken a hit over the years as a lot of old hot spots have shut down or been gentrified, the area is still pretty safe relatively speaking. Can't say I ever recall a violent incident in person pretty much since the early 90s.

But that changed tonight. Homeboy runs up on a Latin food delivery driver, stabs him in the stomach and steals his damn scooter! Right down the block from where I was standing on line. Cops rolled up pretty quick but not sure if they got homeboy or not. I took some video for citizen app if ya'll interested. Nothing too exciting.

NYC is back baby!

Welp. People were always complaining that it lost its charm and grit.

The prostitutes and pimps are back in the streets full force

https://nypost.com/2021/07/16/a-broo...to-more-crime/

I remember seeing a pimp in a full pimp suit escorting hos prized stitch in the dead of winter. She had on clear heals a fur coat and a thong. No one on the train batted an eyelid lol.

It's absolutely amazing how much the city has declined under DeBlasio. Easily one the worst mayors in NYC history, probably the worst since Lindsay.

At least with Koch, Dinkins etc. the city was already in poor shape before they entered office. DeBlasio got handed a plate of gold and turned it into a pile of ****.

Hes awful, and he was never fit to lead at all. Even his delivery at conferences showed this.

Today was my last day in this city. I hope things turn around in a big way. Its going to be a tough challange for the next leader. They will have to be bold, and committed to making decisions combined with a strong personal desire to take it back from the criminals and corrupt. And that will be no easy task.

I hope Adams is a good mayor.

Good luck with your move. Hopefully you'll be very happy where you relocate.
