And THIS is one aspect of why I say the current state of the city has become very lucrative in my new career.

Let me ask you this. If you pull over a car with fake plates. What do you do. I know you are retired and all but let’s say. Arrest, impound? Or you tell the guy to get lost.

you need to send a strong message rather than tell the guy to get lost.
Otherwise if there's a hit and run the cameras will never catch anybody because all these fake plate drivers have been allowed to break the law

NYC sheriffs seize 43 vehicles for fake paper license plates in overnight sweep

July 16, 2021
Deputy sheriffs seized 43 vehicles with bogus paper license plates on Brooklyn streets during an overnight crackdown on Friday, officials said.
The operation began at midnight and ran through 6 a.m. — spanning the 69th, 63rd and 67th Precincts, which include neighborhoods such as Canarsie, Flatbush and Mill Basin.
The illicit plates are also used to evade tolls at the city’s bridge and tunnel crossings.
I thought everybody lost their job cause the government's not letting them work...why so many cars out now, damn I miss 2020 driving in NYC, I will say that.
I miss driving pre DeBlasio/Vehicle Zero era. I use to drive down Queens Blvd every night from LIC to Elmhurst past 11pm. It was great.
