If this doesn't make it clear that closing all insane asylums was a mistake, I don't know what does.

Not one coherent argument from anyone who stepped up to the microphone. I'd wager 100% of them are on several medications. How can you reason with people like this?

That's such an extreme blanket accusation that I can't take it seriously.

Anyone who would be willing to bet anything about 100% of a large group of New Yorkers would be pretty foolish.

At least they're going to the meetings and not making a City-Data account to complain about it

I've been talking about this with my friend all morning. I give him all the credit in the world. I'd walk about, call 1PP and tell them, "You deal with these animals!"

Those people are animals. Period. Clear enough?

One thing is clear... The media has made it all about race and class, making it sound like it's just rich, snobby, entitled White folks that can't handle a little noise from people that don't live in the area that just want to enjoy the park, even though they are pretty much doing far more than that, from the ongoing shooting up, destruction of cars, loud rave parties into the night, etc. Guess that is supposed to be business as usual. So glad I don't live in that area.

Can you provide an example of how the media is doing the bolded?

"That’s all made predominately white and affluent Greenwich Village a flashpoint for tense conversations about race, wealth, and power." https://www.thecity.nyc/2021/7/20/22...-for-nypd-help

It can't just be people who would like peace and quiet. They have to bring in the race, wealth and power argument.
