When did i ever say it was young black thugs? The ones who are graffiti vandals are probably spoiled white hipsters living in the LES of Manhattan - the same demographic trashing Seattle which is a 90% white city. You see them clustered around Orchard, Allen, Essex and Delancey streets on weekends.
As for lack of outreach that is another myth. Nearly every Asian politician bends over backwards to cater to Black and Hispanic needs as opposed to their own constituents. There is an issue with people on the ground not doing some outeach due to language barriers.

Do you know what happens if I live in Japan with my brother and sister in-law for the next 30 years and never learn Japanese? Not only am I ungrateful but it makes me an idiot... Yet hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Fujian and Guangdong have done this since before my Father was born....

Even today Whites are more mindful because we continue to call out and sue the Karens for profiling us.
There was an Asian kid that got attacked by hillbilly Whites in North Carolina last year at the peak of Covid. His mother was scared of Blacks and purposefully moved to a predominantly White area for her son's safety. So much for that...
Eventually Asians will wake up and realize they will never be accepted by Whites in America, and they would actually have more protection by aligning with the Black community. Asians and Latinos are seemingly getting along in Elmhurst though so I guess that's a start...

You're a funny guy. I don't know where the notion arrived from that minorities aren't racist, because minorities can be even more racist than Whites, and they tend to be the most racist amongst each other, or what is called "colorism". Asians have plenty to fear. In heavily Black areas, they tend to be prime targets for getting robbed, so it's not as if they fear Black people just because. Since COVID has started, Asians and Blacks have been the primary targets of racism, but while racism from Asians towards Blacks has been more subtle, such as adjusting masks when near Black folks, Black folks are randomly attacking Asians on the street and pummeling them. There are some Whites guilty of this too, so there is no clear cut solution. That said, as Asians move up the economic ladder, they naturally want to live in low crime areas, which tend to be White. Doesn't mean they are 100% safe, but the chances of them being victims of crime is lower.
Why do people think that other minorities, such as Asians, care about being accepted by Whites?
Is 'being accepted' synonymous with being safe or simply left alone to live peacefully?
I want my family to live in a safe place. If there happens to be more whites around than blacks then so be it.

Because the truth is some Asians do care. lol We live in a society where "White is right". There are sayings in various languages about "marrying up", which usually means marrying a White person. As the saying in Spanish goes "Para mejorar la raza"... I have an Asian friend who I've known since high school. He married a Black chick and they had a kid. Growing up, his parents were not wild about Black people and they made it known to him, so if we were over and there were black people there, he would have to explain their presence in Chinese to his mother. The kid he has looks Asian, but a burning question I've wanted to ask him is how his parents reacted when he brought home a black lady and then married her. Seems like they've accepted it over time. Oh she is part Puerto Rican as well, but that is not necessarily evident when you first see her, as she makes it clear that she is proud of her Black heritage.

I'm fairly disgusted with Seattle-King Co. transit scofflaws.
It's easy to get a free or minimally cost transit card from any number of places. I'm getting tired of young people, moderatedly well groomed to have a lame excuse of not having the fare, forgot to reload their card pass, End-of-month blues, lost my card, etc. My normal bus route takes me through one of the wealthiest work zones in these USA and I see them using lame excuses.
Give this guy a raise and incentivize him for catching scofflaws.
There are huge differences between African-Americans and Asian-Americans; one of them is that for most black people, their original ethnic and cultural origins have been erased; the vast majority only identify as Black, not as Nigerian, Senegalese, Kenyan, etc. This erasure is a huge tragedy, but also allows them to come together solely on the basis of "color".
Compare that to Asians. Many of us are recent immigrants, from many different nations and religions, some of which are regional powers that have rivalled each other for centuries. These hatchets have not been buried, and wounds are still fresh. The experiences between Asian Americans of different backgrounds are very different, and to unite under one umbrella feels somewhat...erasing. So it's disingenuous to point out that one group is not assimilating when other groups probably are doing a fairly good job.
Anyway, this discussion went off topic. It was supposed to be about excessive use of police force for a minor crime.
The same black cop decided to arrest another civilian (this time another black man) with extreme force in another video. Say, what you want - at least he is equal opportunity!
