I'm sure there are some fans for every team but does anyone have a feel for how many? When LA plays the Mets are Dodger Fans evident? Of course many may be aged and less mobile so that wouldn't be the only indicator.
Have the Mets been a satisfactory replacement? Obviously the Dodgers have been more successful win wise and money wise.
Do you like the any of the Met's stadiums over the years? The Dodgers have had just one since 1962.
As people die off who were in Brooklyn with the Dodgers, It would be nice to preserve history.
My grandfather is an 88 year old mets fan who used to be a dodgers fan. he is still mad they left- but was thrilled when the mets beat them in the 2015 nlds.
I have some older relatives who still lament the loss. Almost all of them are Mets fans now. They love when the Mets beat the Dodgers, and they love when either team (or anyone) beats the Yankees. The only remaining vestige seems to be that red hot hatred of the Evil Empire. I say that as a Yankee fan.
One of my neighbors died a few months ago, a woman in her 90s. Her obituary said she had dated Pee Wee Reese and Gil Hodges in her youth. I don’t know if that’s true but she was a Yankees fan in her later years and still watched them in her 90s.
I dont know the current demographics as I moved away. There are certain populations who like baseball. Is that area around Atlantic Ave that O'Malley wanted still available?

I think that the Dodgers wanted the area where the Barclays Center is now. If so, then not available anymore. But the site could have been a little farther north, to encompass where the PC Richard and Son and Modell's sit now.
Does anybody think that Brooklyn could carry a new stadium & MLB team?
Good question. Population-wise, there's enough to support in theory, but I don't know if a sufficient fan base would exist considering how many people are already Yankees and Mets fans. Note, I also bring up that Ebbets Field was among the smaller of the MLB ballparks, so I can't even use how crowded/packed that place was--and acknowledging that demographics have changed significantly since the Dodgers moved--to gauge things.
