Carranza is a sleaze ball, I knew it from the start.

"The ex-Department of Education curriculum honcho who has been dating former Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza moved into his Texas apartment months before she quit her job in the Big Apple — and as Carranza landed a gig at a firm that’s made millions selling technology and lesson plans to the DOE."

I'm confused about why he was looking where Carranza was working specifically. What about that makes him a good pick? I think it's good and reasonable for NYC to poach talent from other places, but that's for people who are specifically doing a pretty good job and can bring that knowledge over. Andy Byford is a pretty good example of that as he came from agencies that had far more functional transit systems and had done a pretty well-regarded effort in Toronto prior to coming to NYC. After all, the private sector in NYC usually has the majority of its top talent from elsewhere outside of NYC metro area, so it's not that crazy for the public sector to dabble a bit outside the Tri-State area.

Also, what's your decision process for making new usernames?

Garbage human being as is most of the Chancellors since Mayoral Control.
Disband Mayoral Control of the DOE ASAP- it's doing no good.

Most heinous was Carranza's pay increase.
Farina was making shy of $250K.... Carranza $350K.

The right man for the job didn't come up from Miami.
NYCDOE is just a train wreck.

Good Ol' Boys Network is alive and well, and Carranza threw every excuse as to racism while profiting off the district. JAIL that *(*(&@*&@#.

Not a fan of mayoral control. But do we want to go back to the days of corrupt community school boards?
