Sometimes people just don’t want to accept that their loved one has passed & is not coming back. No reason to leave her in the living room if you are trying to hide that you murdered her. Maybe she was harmed, but making no effort to hide or dispose of the body doesn’t seem like the actions of a murderer.

Living with the decomposing corpse seems more like an act of love.

The article mentioned that the daughter had mental health issues and that she's not suspected of any foul play.

A couple of years ago the landlord of a Little Neck apartment over a retail store found a decomposed body that had been there awhile. The last tenant had moved out in the last month. I never saw a follow up story so it may have been a natural death and the tenant never had it removed. Has to be some mental issues involved.
