I walk down 8th or 9th ave (West Side) every morning to the office. Every morning, dodging bums, human feces, vomit, homeless sleeping on the street, even a needle, and more. It's not getting better either.
If this sounds like a great city to be in, you need help. My only relief is getting on the bus back home in the evening.
Nahh, during Giuliani it was all peaches and cream
I know you are being facetious but no one claimed that the past were great. The difference between then and now is that things were improving during Giuliani days while these days, we are going in the other direction.

Yah I lived in Hells Kitchen during Bloomberg days. It def was not like it is now. Always some mental ill/Drug addicts but for the last 2 years it's gone back 90s style.

You mean like those threads in the early and mid 2010’s where someone warned about increasing NYC crime and you mocked them because you said things were bad in the 70-90’s and they were just being alarmists?
Hindsight now with the city backsliding kinda proves them right and you wrong.

Well yeah, history is repeating itself. DeBlasio was Lindsay, Adams will be Dinkins, the Marxists will start bombing sh*t again when the Republicans sweep the 2024 election, crime will spiral again and in a couple decades if anyone still has any sense a new Guiliani will be elected to clean up the mess
