Ok I see some buildings have been registered but what does that tell me about the heating complaints from tenants in the past and how would I know by looking at this ?
Play around on the site. There are different tabs and such. Once you do that you will be able to find out all complaints made about the building.
Seriously didn't you used to live in NYC. This should be basic knowledge. And since you left me a snide message via repping me. All you need to do is google HPD and the site pops up. Would it kill you to do something for yourself instead of people holding you hand and walking you through everything Stay in Cali man.

Wow dude city life must be really stressing you out.
I never had to live in places like this before. I was fortunate enough to grow up on the Upper East Side where heat was a god given right anytime I wanted it.
I never Repped You Wrong guy. Re Read your notifications.

I don't know what living on the upper East side has anything to do with knowing how to put your building into a database... So basically you are saying growing up on upper East side you have no life skills and can't figure out how to do things by yourself. Hmmmmm

This is one thing I have to agree with her on even though she likes to dance in the streets drunk with strangers.
This is a jungle and it you don't have several back up plans, friends or family to rely on don't come here. This city is only for the smartest or wealthiest. The landlords here even for many luxury apartments do not give a f*** on average, compared to other cities. It is just all one big cash grab for them.
You better watch some Wu Tang before coming here, harden up and protect ya neck
Average temperature is 20-30 degrees in February and 95 degrees with 75% humidity in July. Choose wisely.
The HPD website is poorly laid out, but try doing this:
After you have entered the address of the building, do the following -
1 - Click on 'Complaint History', a list of complaints will appear.
2 - Copy the complaint# your interested in checking.
3 - Click on 'Complaint Status' and paste in the complaint number.
