”Inflation is a tax on everyone.”

Not on debtors nor on owners of commodities.

The $1 pizza has been around, what, 15 or more years? Even a gentle 2% inflation will achieve a rise in that space of time.

$1 pizza was edible only when piping hot. Not going to deny having had quite a few as "breakfast" running into work, though.

Lol x 100.

I almost inhaled my last bite of pizza through the windpipe…

Only my opinion, mind you.

My personal theory is that they will say the penny is for the paper plate they hand you. I have this picture of someone demanding their penny, and them saying, "okay put out your hands, here's your slice" ...and then "here's your penny" --- only the customer now has their hands busy with that slice, so they say "keep it." -and Mr. Pizzeria snickers, knowing he keeps the penny and the plate!
come on now

everybody knows .99 is a marketing pysch thing. For the slice they are just screwing you out of the penny on purpose but pretty much nobody cares. If you want the penny ask for the penny but come on now

I asked the cashier about it. She said it was just for that day because they had to change all the prices.
Dollar Tree doesn't have prices that need changing.

Target bought out the one on Fordham Road. I would get a couple of slices, while I was down there.

The Target is still under construction.

That's fair given a decade of inflationary governmental profligacy to artificially pump up stock and real estate prices. The FED forgot their primary mission was to stabilize the CURRENCY.

I will have no problem paying $1.25 for the hundred things I buy there.

My problem with Dollar Tree is not price increase, but the lack of stock. Last week I went for 4 items, NONE of which were in stock. Nevertheless, I spent $23 on stuff I didn't need and shouldn't have bought, mostly junk food.

I think Dollar Tree will not be with us very much longer. Pity.
