mod cut

This is good news. It shows Chinese aren't going to be the political patsies democrats assumed they would be, a nice safe, docile and reliable voting block. This as democrats cater to that other minority who believe the world still owes them....

Default Chinese Voters Came Out in Force for the GOP in NYC, Shaking Up Politics

Not all that surprising.

Republican Curtis Sliwa performed better in majority-Asian and -white election districts than he did in Black and Hispanic districts

https://www.thecity.nyc/politics/202...ium=newsletter

From Sunset Park in Brooklyn to Elmhurst and Flushing in Queens, frustrations over Democratic stances on schools and crime helped mobilize votes for Republican Curtis Sliwa for mayor and conservative Council candidates.

After casting his ballot in the early morning on Election Day, Ray Huang made more than a dozen trips to poll sites in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood.

Each time, he brought with him one or two Chinese residents who came to vote for Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa, just as he did.

They weren’t alone: While Sliwa notched 29% of ballots cast citywide and 24% in Brooklyn, in central Sunset Park he got 46% against Democrat Eric Adams, city Board of Election data shows. In this hub of the neighborhood, known as Brooklyn’s Chinatown, 70% of residents categorized themselves as Asian in the 2020 census.

Across the five boroughs, Sliwa scored 44% of the vote in precincts where more than half of residents are Asian — surpassing his 40% of votes in white enclaves, 20% in majority-Hispanic districts and 6% in majority-Black districts.

The open hatred Democrats have for Asians is now such that any East Asian in favor of a Democrat is like a 1930s Jew being in favor of the German ..."government"...

Anyone with 2 brain cells could see this coming. It's not even higher because a lot of the older folks are on welfare/social programs and will vote Democrat out of self preservation.

The Dems in NYC have lumped Asians in with Whites because Asians stand in the way of their narrative (aka vote buying scheme).

I am really looking forward to the general election. It is going to be interesting. I went to the gas station and spent $70 and my tank still wasn't full!

When those heating bills start rolling in people may actually start paying attention to what is going on.

While Asians in BK when Sliwa, in Flushing and other parts of NE Queens with huge Asian populations they went 50/50 or Adams.

There's still a lot of educating the Asian (foreign born) community that needs to happen regarding how white liberals/black/hispanics do not share their values. Especially on the importance of education and having a strong 2 parent household with discipline.

Sadly, most Asian Americans have already been indoctrinated in the hate whitey narrative. It's too late for most of them.

This is excellent news. While Asian-Americans still have a ways to go to make a huge political impact in nyc generally (purely from a numbers game), this is undoubtedly a step in the right direction I say!

Were they enough to put Sliwa over the top?

Chinese-Americans are slowly moving into the republican party, the way Italian-Americans did starting in the 1950s. On Staten Island even more so. This is not surprising. Chinese-Americans are hard working, law-abiding, police-supporting, middle-class people. But the republican party has to do more to get Chinese-Americans to vote republican. Like recruiting Chinese-American candidates in heavily Chinese districts.
