That could be a liability for them. Your missing the point, it's all about liability. If they take you home and your still drugged up someone could do something to you. That's why they want you to find a reliable person you know and trust. If you can't or don't want to then you have to stay until the drugs wear off and pay an expensive bill for that.
I'm having a minor same day procedure in two weeks out of NY Presbyterian Queens and they require a Covid test within 5 days, so I scheduled a free one with Quest Diagnostics and I'm required to be picked up afterwards but my escort doesn't have to have a Covid test. All of my friends work jobs and would have to take off work to pick me up. My friend happened to be off that day so she could pick me up. I would never ask someone to take off work for me. The whole thing is absurd in my view. They should allow me to wait for an hour or whatever they want and then let me leave.

Yah I had one and my friend walked me out the door. I then took myself to lunch and then to my dentist appointment. I'm all about making the most of my days. I love when I can get double appointments done.
