This weekend, New York City transformed into a vibrant wonderland thanks to the annual changing of the leaves. This autumnal glow is always brief but brilliant, and it's safe to say it all peaked this weekend. But what do we really know about these leaves that are now carpeting the city?
The color changes—as you likely learned in your first-ever science class—are due to changes in the length of daylight, temperatures, and a chlorophyll breakdown process. But as you step all over the temporarily leaf-laden sidewalks, here are a few more things to consider.
Took a drive to Cold Spring last week. Drove past Bear Mountain on the way back. Colors were amazing.
Cold Spring has a nice little French restaurant which we loved. Plenty of great dining options and antique shops. While up there, head to Beacon for Dia museum for some interesting art.
we went to dia but to be honest i just don’t understand that art ….we were in beacon 3 weeks ago

I like the 4th pic. The one showcasing the weeping willow and the ducks (didn't notice them at first, but they look so tiny & cute!). These pics are class.
