How someone can gain pleasure from doing this to another human being will forever be a mystery to me. This is apart from the legal system that even allows this to happen in the first place.
This is how kids in car seats die in Chicago and Oakland. Bad days.

our country and building a career at the same time.

Yep, and of course that same demographic group will claim that the justice and prison system are "RACIST" because incarceration rates are so high for that group. Well, maybe if that group didn't commit so much crime things would be different?
Hopefully we can gentrify them all out of NYC, I'm just tired of hearing about all of their criminal antics.
Sounds like something out of "City of God" film, which is based on stuff that really happened in 1960s-1970s Rio de Janeiro. Gang members would shoot kids in their hands and feet for fun (when they got ahold of guns). Not even the military dictatorship that ruled Brazil could stop that.
