Honestly, I don't have a lot of sympathy for these corporations such as Bank of America. They have for years supported and donated to politicians who enacted public policies which led to the current crime situation.
Good point. Interested to hear if anyone from Charlotte thinks they have supported more benevolent legislation down there where I believe the HQ is....
If you need to wear a suit to work you should be driving anyway
Wearing a suit on a train seems gross to me
Look at me all fly for $2.75
Smh
And pay $50 a day in parking Midtown?
Are you aware that not only high paying jobs require you to wear a suit?
Also it contradicts the same people who don’t really care about crime as they want to get rid of cars and implement that congestion pricing.
All in all it works well for the latter.

Has nothing to do with the bolded
I just don't like wearing suits on the train
I was the type to put my tie on at my desk, so to speak

Same here. Im old beat up clothes and no haircut in 7 months now. Im getting looks from some people clearly going to work now recently i noticed.
Exactly, why advertise that I have any type of money
In my younger days, sure, but as I got older I did my best to look as bummy as possible on the train, I'm not riding it for fun. Its making yourself a target.

Wearing a suit is not "fly", wearing a pair of $1,000 sneakers and a bunch of gold chains with bling is "fly". People who have a suit dress code at work are more likely to need a $2.75 train ticket than a criminal ghetto trash that drives a Maserati.
In world-class cities of Asia and Europe, it would be absurd to even think of being unable to wear a suit on public transportation, or to be unable to walk after dark in the area of one of the top universities in the nation. Actually even in Boston, if you ride the T (the equivalent of NYC Subway) around 10:30 pm on Saturday on a train that stops at Symphony station, there will be a number of people in black tie suits and evening dresses entering the train.
I've seen ppl sit in wet spots on the train and quickly get up with a look of despair and disgust. Imagine doing that in your best formal wear.
One should never forget the "look before you sit" on any public transportation. The best defense to not sit on puke/pee etc is...to not sit on it.
