Just curious as to how often you wear your "formal wear", or are you talking about a plain old suit, not formal wear?
I didn't think I would have to say business formal, I though it was implied given the topic of the thread was B of A advising its workers how to dress.

That's why I don't take the subway... Dirty? Check. Annoyed by panhandlers? Check. Oh and then there are the deranged people walking around. No thank you...

Went in the laundry basket. And washed the next day. I don't dry clean.

I've seen many people all dressed up on the 1 train going to/from Lincoln center. And members of the orchestra dressed with their instruments.

You are entitled to your opinion but I am not going to ride a cab to go to Midtown for a meeting, when I don't even know if I can make it on time... Of course everyone having meetings in Midtown during the day is going to ride the subway. No other choice if you don't want to miss all your meetings, which are, often, back to back btw if you do your job properly.

The orchestra members are different. They have to dress up for their job. Just like you would see waiters at high end restaurants or hotel staff dress up in suits. It does not mean they are rich.

I guess you missed when I said I've seen many people dressed up coming and going from lincoln center.

Seriously how uncultured are some people on this thread. Do you actually live in NYC and go out and do things? Look around every once and a while. People dress up all the time on the train.

In the outer boroughs too? Lol

Most people wearing a suit on a train the outer boroughs are doing so by requirement

Who honestly likes wearing suits on the train unless you live in Manhattan and are not going far

Dont even gotta sit down

Perhaps expand your circle. Many people dress up, also live in Manhattan.
Seriously get outta your bubble. You live in one of the most diverse cities that provides all kind of opportunities. Ya'll seriously have no idea what it's like.

On the upside...maybe there will be a glut of Rolexes so that their prices actually come back to earth:

$20k for a steel Submariner is insane.
