Yeah. People are getting punched, kicked, smacked, stabbed. Every day, I hear something has happened. And it's not just at night. It's during daylight hours. No. And with service cuts, with a 20-40 minute wait between the arrival of the next subway. I walk to work so I've been coming in but if I had to commute to work and primarily by subway. No. Bad for the restaurants and bars that depend on office workers and foot traffic but it is what it is.

I am so sick of this pandemic. I am so tired and done with it.

Just read about a guy in Forest Hills almost being shoved at a Forest Hills subway station in one of the community groups. Guy that was clearly deranged came charging at him as the R train was pulling into the station. He managed to dodge the shoving. Guy came back again as if he wanted to attack him. Meanwhile MTA personnel was there witnessing all of this. Cops were called, but who knows if they will apprehend the guy. Ridiculous.

All of the City services have to be paid for, and that's contingent upon revenues being generated from taxes.
He can push all he wants while he's correct that companies having workers back in the office is good for NY that isn't motivation for those companies to bring workers back if it doesn't make sense for the company.Hes totally missing that when he makes this comment.

Schools absolutely should be in person for a lot of reasons, but many jobs can be done just fine remotely

The Adams administration is already desperate and in disarray. Adams may as well just say what he was really thinking. My house ******s are too dumb to work jobs that pay more than minimum wage. They need the masser to come back to Manhattan and spend money. God damm crackers.

He just back-handed a huge part of his constituency and they will all think he is fighting for them, and not realize they were just insulted.

Do we come to the NJ board and stick our beaks in your posts? No, we don't stay on your side of the Hudson and mind your business. Oh, and the Devils are a terrible Mickey Mouse Club and will never win anything ever again. In Addition, Jack Hughs is a BUST and Brdouer was an overrated fat slob that was a product of the system Lou put in place.

2021 saw another surge of anti-Asian hate crimes in subway

“The fact that you’re underground in a little box with no escape is not lost on me,” she said.

The number of anti-Asian incidents reported in the subway jumped last year, NYPD data shows, accounting for more than one third of all bias crimes in the system.

Through the end of November — the latest figures provided by the Hate Crime Task Force — 30 of the 84 reported subway bias incidents targeted Asians, a 233% increase from 2020, when only nine were tallied.

The ugly encounters in the subway mirror a significant surge in hate crimes across the city since 2019, with the NYPD reporting in December that anti-Asian incidents rose by 361% from the previous year.

In the subway, police say victims have been beaten, pushed in front of oncoming trains, spit on and hit with racial slurs — and advocates say the numbers only begin to reflect the whole of the hatred aimed at Asian riders, estimating that only 10% to 30% of violent incidents are reported to law enforcement.

“There is tremendous underreporting,” said Jo-Ann Yoo, executive director of the Asian-American Federation. “The challenge is that very few people come forward.”

Yes, but it will be after both of those industries are dead and will take years to come back.

Looks like he's more pragmatic that people thought, on one side, and more pragmatic than people want, on the other!

Translation......the moderate he showed us, he would be!
