In 1979 a girl named Renee Katz was pushed in front of a subway train and it was huge news. She survived but lost a hand. Now the mayor is minimizing this woman’s death unlike how the Renee Katz incident was treated which is still remembered over 40 years later. This woman’s death merits the same if not a stronger reaction as the Renee Katz incident.

It's been obvious for a while that Asians are victimized by crime at a very disproportionate rate. No, it is not *technically* a hate crime but it is yet another time an Asian person has been victimized.

Fact: Violent crime rates almost always dropped during the era of 3 Strikes & You're Out, as well as the Broken Windows policy era.
We would not consider releasing violent animals at a zoo, and mankind is an animal, many of which are violent.
I see no distinction between a caged tiger and a caged murderer.
