I do run cold so when I am home my heat is on at around 72. When we're sleeping, it's set at 66. I do have a combi-boiler.

The electric bill is more outrageous, IMO. It was $115.35 the previous month and $83.85 in December. At least I can say my gas usage has increased because it's been cold but my electric has not.
I wouldn't say you run cold when you keep your temp at 72/66. Brrrrr I wouldn't be freezing at those temps.

My gas bill for last month was 23.24

1.0415 was the thermol factor, for whatever that mean.
I only have cooking gas.
But, I'm guilty, sometimes I will put the oven on for heat if I'm in the kitchen and I'm cold.
the little space heater I have uses so much electricity, it is cheaper to have the stove on.
Luckily, I don't have to do that too much, as i know that is not a good idea.

the electric bill is sickening, I'm in the same apartment since 1989 and used to be on a budget of 32.00, OMG how the rates have increased over the year.

I love when some expert on TV tells us ways to cut our utility bills.
i think to myself, don't tell us, we know already, just lower the rates then they wont be so astronomical.

ugh!!

Don't worry, once natural gas is banned completely and we are on 100% electric I'm sure Coned will reduce electric rates

Where were those fools that were calling for heat pumps in NYC instead of gas heating?

Anybody heating with electric during an NYC winter is either freezing in their home or paying $500+ extra per month.

For my 1200sqft plus frequent cooking I paid $270 for last month, January 2021 it was $150. Granted, this year it was colder than usual and I do like to keep it a toasty 74-75. I shudder to think how much electric I'd be paying if I adopted those magical heat pumps the wokeists keep trying to sell us.

Yep, prepare for a cost of living crisis. The left LOVES to bring down people's standard of living in the name of "saving the planetâ„¢." Want to stay warm in winter? Pay up, chum. The WOKE are in charge.

At 74-75? Probably $600 -$800.
