What's up with this? Did Walgreens strike a deal with Superstores or what?

East Village - Third and Tenth Street, LES - Houston and Ave D, First Avenue and 76th Street

Passed by UES store the other night. It was closed but looking in windows it seemed a cross between a low budget Nationwide Warehouse and those East Indian discount stores that are everywhere.

Rainbow/Ace True Value one block down on First is my spot, and has been for years. See no reason to switch...

Looks like USA Super Stores made some kind of a deal to assume some of the Walgreen's / Duane Reade leases. That is until the ghetto element discovers them and they get hit with a few shoplifting swarms. Suckers! LOL! A place that sells milk and cheapo microwave ovens can't be all bad.

Really miss Nationwide Warehouse, you never know what you'd find in those stores.

What's wrong with you that you want businesses to fail? What's funny about shoplifting driving businesses to close.

I remember the few National Liquidators in Queens.

Awesome stores. Security Guards everywhere.

I would throw in a blanket for any thief caught.

Best wishes.

Nothing funny at all, except to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
