I think it was a welfare office back in the 1970's and 1980's . I was born a few blocks away Jewish Memorial Hospital.

JMH moved around a bit before it's final location (now long since demolished).

Previous location was up in what is now Inwood Park. Obviously a hospital located up on a hill reached by steep steps wasn't exactly ideal.

Me too

Not to get too off topic, but I recently found out that the old Jewish Memorial Hopsital has been torn down, not only because of a budget crisis but because someone killed a few people there. A school was built there shortly afterwards. Recently, I was scrolling through Tic-Toc, and saw that some students had posted about ghosts and paranormal activity at the school and it referred to a hospital!

I was born in Jewish Memorial Hospital as well! I thought about getting a brick from there when it was demolished (I was living about a mile away at the time) but never followed through.
