You don't need to capitalize "White", since white people generally do not worship and admire their own race as to have to write it with a capital w :-). While everybody knows that a minority of NYC criminals are indeed white, no law-abiding normal white person (on this forum or otherwise) defends those criminals, or tries to find excuses for them. They are criminals, same as all the others, no more no less. You somehow fail to notice that everybody here expresses an intense disapproval of the blondie, and wishes him a speedy rendez-vous with NYPD, followed by putting him behind the bars for quite a while.

Why is this a "racist" post? Because I am white with light brown hair, rather than a blonde? :-). Yes, guys get attacked all the time, but THIS guy attacked exclusively Asian women - seven of them in one day.
PS- as for his expected popularity in prison, there is an old movie related to that, with Marilyn Monroe, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". It's a known fact, not racism...
Personally, I'm not shocked that he is White. What shocks me are people within the Asian community who let their guard down around strangers because they're White. Then are dumbfounded if verbally or physically assaulted.
I remember when the White dude attacked the Asian man at 7/11 in Queens, even though he was spewing racial slurs and blaming him for COVID, people were looking for "context" to understand why he reacted in that manner. A few Asians decided to blame his actions on Trump rather than the POS w/ free will.
As much as people on this forum like to think that Whites are not racist, there are still plenty of closeted White racists in this City. I blame some of it on the White transplants flocking here who are not used to diversity. That said, racists come in all colors... White, Black, Asian, Latino, etc. Minorities are just as racist as Whites are. I think there's a perception that minorities can't be racist because they historically have been oppressed...
This is definitely not the first White on Asian hate crime either in this City. In Asia, there is this desire to have lighter skin and there is definitely racism towards people w/darker skin, so yes, you do have some Asians that let their guard down around Whites because they think they've been "accepted". This nut job and that other racist White guy show that they still need to be on guard.
The Black on Asian hate crimes are equally disgusting. I don't see anything changing until there is an open discussion about racism in NYC. Yes, it's a very diverse City, but that is not stopping the closeted racism happening in this City.

I love that you expressed minorities can be racist - it's a constant debate that I am tired of having and not ONLY racist to other races but towards different ethnicities within their own race too.
An open discussion about racism is just the starting point. There's soooooo much more pressing issues that need to be addressed but people won't admit it and/or taking accountability, rather we allow them to continue to make excuses.
