Man was attacked after pulling out his wallet at Bryant Park subway station by panhandler he refused money to minutes before. Thief beat down victim, took his wallet which contained bank and credit cards, then went on $750 shopping spree including buying new kicks at Footlocker.

I'll add I used to use that stop before WFH. I don't miss dodging the human feces on the steps every morning.

Never understood how allowing someone to crap on the stairwells was "progressive"

Don't understand why victim waiting >24 hours before notifying bank and credit card issuers his stuff had been stolen. Yeah, understand he was roughed up, but still himself or someone else could have made a phone call.

Welcome to Adam's New York City!
Best to keep Metrocard/Debit card seperate and ready to use before entering the subway. I have been doing this way before things got bad. Even if they grab that and run its better then the whole wallet with your ID that has your address.

I dont understand the wallet/phone holder combos. You not only can get the phone grabbed but all cards and ID also at the same time!

Here’s another attack/shove and then robbed in a Manhattan:

Isn’t a complete Democrat controlled city and state just so wonderful?

It’s that utopia the Left keeps promising we will all have if they get their way.

The rich vs poor and the black vs white angles are what progressive is all about.

That’s what they are selling to the people and many are buying it.

If you are poor, you now get lots of love and sympathy while the rich is hated and ostracized. Same with blacks. They can do no wrong and if they do wrong, it’s not their fault. You also can’t talk bad about any black person (even if they are bad) or you are a racist.

Didn't you know that there will always be crime? That's what I hear some people say.

Actually... I heard or read that it was during the Dinkins era that crime started to trend down. It's the Koch era you're thinking of!
