It sounds final, but it may not be. Unlike most states, in NYS the Supreme Court is not the highest state court. In NYS it is the Appeals Court that is the highest. It would not surprise me if the city contests this ruling.

Of course the city will appeal. What's some more taxpayer money thrown at a losing cause, as long as it makes headlines and sound bytes?

I do, and golf is not the issue here.

It's about the Mayor over stepping his bounds, and having a personal vendetta against someone with different political views. Disgusting and un-American actually.

Now give him back the Wollman Rink.

Everybody needs something to latch onto, to feel a sense of belonging. Politics gave many that comfortable outlet.

I just want to know if the golf course is even any good to play on, so I can feign interest like everybody else.

This case is not about politics but preserving the sanctity of a contract. If the government decides to arbitrarily cancel a contract which it itself signed with a party for no other reason than personal agendas then it is a breach. This sets a bad precedent for future cases.

American ruling class has not changed one IOTA. Always considered uncivilized and extremist. The same way this ruling class signed legally binding treaties with the Native Americans (19TH CENTURY DEPLORABLES) and broke them they sign legally binding contracts and cancel them with modern day "DEPLORABLES". Their legal authority has to be questioned based on historical and demonstrated lack of respect for the law.

I see someone graduated law school and passed the bar exam.
