Imagine New Amsterdam City (NAC) or New Amsterdamers.

Anyway, is Dutch not included in the NYC demographics?
This sounds as sound as Darwinians evolution theory to me. There is a lot of fake “hi-stories” out there so it is difficult to tell which are stories or facts regarding events 400 years ago.

I didn't even grow up in NYC or NY State but I think I learned this in the 4th or 5th grade.... back in the old days when they actually taught American History. It's a pretty important part of early American history.

And it wasn't just NYC. The original Dutch colony was called "New Netherland" and it extended from Albany down to Delaware and also included parts of Connecticut, New Jersey,Pennsylvania and Maryland.
New Amsterdam ( NYC) was just a part of New Netherland.

Ever heard of Pennsylvania Dutch country?

Amsterdam Ave.

And I'm sure many other references of that era are still present in our day to day lives.
Ya...like Breukelen, Staaten Eylandt, The Broncks, Flatbush and The Tappan Zee ( not the bridge).... just a few of the thousands.

Doesn't count. The Pennsylvania Dutch are German. The Dutch is a corruption of Deutsche in that case. But the rest of your post is spot on.
