"New York City Mayor Eric Adams waved a checkered flag to start a bulldozing event, where 100 illegal dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles, confiscated by the New York City Police Department, were crushed"
No celebrities were spotted, so Mayor Adams insisted that this was a sincere effort to deter people from illegally using such vehicles and not another cheap publicity stunt.
Great that he took them off the street.
For those who think it would have been more productive to sell or auction them off? Think again.
The expense of storage, maintaining, paper work, would have been very costly.
This was the cheapest way out for N.Y.C.
Good move Mr.Mayor.
Now if you could only apply this same principle to repeat offenders.

That bum Deblasio didn't even try and let these motorbike thugs run wild because its the woke thing to do.
