Good for him, though would be happier if eejits who stole that RR took a header off the Bayonne, Goethals or Outerbridge...

I couldn't help chuckling watching that kid painfully lifting the object to smash the window.
He looked close to losing his pants. Hahahaha. At his age I was tossing cinder blocks
back and forth like marshmallows.

Work on getting real jobs kids..................There's no future in being a thief.

To the retired police. If the owner shot them, would he be justified legally? I know you are not allowed to protect your property in NYC, but if the owner felt his life was in danger its a go?

Good for him, but also kinda stupid to just leave a $400k car sitting out in the open on a driveway too.

He’d have to show (yup, guilty until proven innocent) that his life was in danger and he could not flee.

How is it stupid? It's the guys driveway. Even if he left it on the street, is the bar so low now?

I'm not saying he should have to, but I'm saying it's dumb not to. Even if I lived in a lily little suburb, I wouldn't be leaving a $400k anything just sitting out in the open for everyone to see.

When I worked on a contract for several months in LA about 17 years ago, I used to see a Rolls in the regular traffic almost every day. During that time, once I even saw a Rolls parked at a curb next to a parking meter on a regular commercial street in Westwood, near the UCLA campus :-). But, with the exception of the parking lot of a Rolls dealership in West Hollywood, I never saw a single Rolls in LA (or anywhere else) in recent years. Anyway, I know this is a NYC forum, not LA, but just in general, I wonder what caused decreased presence of Rollses in the streets of big cities nowadays. Greater popularity of more modern luxury cars, greater concern of crime (compared to the early-mid 2000s), or what?

Your message is unfortunately falling on not necessarily deaf ears, but definitely dumb ears. Plus, these guys do not look like "kids", they look closer to 30 (I saw a different news bit with three stationary photos of these thieves, which show the upper part of their face very clearly, and those did not look like teenage faces).
