Heat is nothing, wait until people get their electric bills!
On similar note people aren't using their AC because they feel cannot afford to pay the bill. And it's not just low income, but things are tight for many other households as well.
Thanks to WFH many are at home during work week when once would have been at office. That means AC is going pretty much all day instead of maybe half or whatever. Multiply that by six or seven days per week straight and you've got making of a nice high electric bill.
What I find funny is that the people who claim they cannot wait for summer and love the heat are the ones who cannot get home and turn on the AC fast enough lol, then they go insane when they see how high the bill is!

Even for those who can afford it, there is really no reason to have the AC running 24/7. One can alternate between the AC and a floor fan and still be relatively comfortable.

I do AC all day when I'm home, but it's programed between 72-74 degrees.
I like the heat though when I'm outside. Still going out every day for my jogs.

For me it's difficult to sleep with A/C as I simply get too cold.
You mentioned that you are still jogging in this weather. What time of day are doing that and have you changed from your regular time due to the heat?
