There are pjs on the edge of many more affluent areas in the city. as long as you mind your business and stay street smart, you’ll be fine. Most likely nothing will happen. But the good thing is if something does, police come really fast to neighborhoods like this.

It is somehow somewhat much much safer to live across from the Amsterdam Houses on the Upper East Side of Manhattan than it it to live across from the Howard Houses in Brownsville, Brooklyn, or from the Paterson Houses in Mott Haven.
