Just curious, but what kind of reputation does this neighborhood have? You don't really hear much about it, but it appears to be a pretty solid neighborhood.

In summary,

- The West triangle between Flatbush Avenue, Kings Highway and Avenue H: The "Kosher" part of the Flatlands, a subpar version of neighboring Midwood.

- The Northern third, between Avenue H, Flatbush Avenue, and Flatlands Avenue: a quieter version of East Flatbush, like Seventh mentioned "a step above" it. Heavily Caribbean, very sleepy, very clean and well kept and clean.

- The Southern third between Flatlands Avenue, Flatbush Avenue, Avenue U and Ralph Avenue: A subpar version of Bergen Beach and Marine Park, leftover Italian-Americans, Irish-Americans, Greeks, and many Asians, for the most part.

No Subway access, and you barely hear about it because... not much happens there...

That’s a good thing in this city.

Didn't this used to be a mob hot spot? Of course that may have been forty years ago.

That section is also heavily black Caribbean. As a matter of fact, all three sections are. It is true, though, that it is a bit more diverse in the southernmost section.
