You forgot to mention a big portion of those people are retired seniors hence Florida being the oldest state age wise lol.
And I believe the real deal is focusing on white collared professionals. Not sure the real deal cares about a family who main source of income is from Target. As far as white collared professionals I don’t know much in NYC who have Florida on their mind unless they are getting a second home. Actually all my rich friends have a second home in Florida but still live in nyc/hamptons
what the article doesn't tell you is that the people that are moving back are from extremely high-end earning groups such as doctors, surgeons, attorneys etc that can afford to come back and move into Manhattan.
Well the Ny post is the ultimate authority.
Nuff said.
I can tell you from first hand knowledge, great private schools in Miami are hard to get in to. And its because there is a limited number of great private schools.
Basically, the schools in Miami suck. Money can’t buy something that doesn’t exist.
Well it is a good thing Palm Beach is nearly 100 miles from Miami then, huh?
(FYI: the article references the same source that started this thread.)
Palm Beach is actually 69 road miles to Miami, Boca Raton is 43 road miles to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale is 26 road miles to Miami.

If you're over 35 yrs old, chances are you're moving out of NYC. Your tired of being milked by NYC. If you're 25 you're not likely to go down to Miami, you're still looking for roomates and moving into hipster spots. I laugh at all folks moving into the neighborhoods I would never walk into during childhood that people are paying a lot to live at.
It's a hard sell for a well to do family making $200k to live around NYC. If you can make the $200k living elsewhere you could've had backyard BBQs and no convicts beating you up while you take out your trash. I'm see more random crimes happening in NYC where someone goes out to toss garbage and suddenly becomes a victim of a senseless violent crime. It doesn't matter at all the criminals are brought to justice. There is no penalty.
