As for those accusing me of being soft, I'm not. If she is mentally competent, then she should go to prison for life (if only we had capital punishment, this is a very justified use of it). If she's mentally ill, which she probably is, she should be institutionalized for life. Either way, she doesn't deserve her freedom again.
I totally agree she shouldn’t be let off easy. I also don’t think Capital punishment solves anything other than soothing some folks’ revenge itch.

Here comes the lawsuit.

“ Brooklyn mom ‘fell through ACS cracks’ before drowning her kids at Coney Island Beach: source”
Funny how this works. We already knew the playbook as soon as this happened. None of these people care about the children. They only care about framing the issue and perpetuating the narrative that keeps the rotten system that killed these kids going.

These 3 kids were killed by this rotten system but there are hundreds of thousands who are abused by it daily because all our current politicians because about is buying their parents votes at all costs.

It's also interesting that some on this forum don't even want to talk about these issues at all. I wonder why? One of our glorious moderators injected this notion into this forum that certain topics shouldn't even be discussed. According to whom?

You have to identify the problem and cut its roots out.
When someone can’t even take care of themselves, they should not have a kid let alone 3. Government tells them they will be fine if they keep a kid and give birth so they do. Did, do and will continue doing.

Poor kids died because of parents who aren’t able to raise a child and the welfare program enables this stupid behavior.
And they you complain that Rikers is overcrowded.

Enough of this bull.
You know what? Somebody saying a woman SHOULD not have kids, or SHOULD use birth control or SHOULD keep her legs together or all of the other SHOULDS people like to say about woman who can't take care of their kids has never once stopped someone from having a kid they shouldn't have had.

These women are not listening to the SHOULDS of people they don't know and to whom they can't remotely relate.

Not that the SHOULDS are wrong, it's just that they are absolutely useless.

It's actually advantageous (economically) for these women to have kids in NYC. Everybody knows single mothers are eligible for all welfare programs in NYC no questions asked.

That would be happening if it wasn't economically advantageous to have children when you're "poor"/unskilled.

In fact, having children in this case is the quickest way to become fully "self sufficient". You get a cheap place to live , money for food, and free medical care.
